Lisa Thomas Laury , Special Report/ Substitute Anchor, has officially been back with Action News for a Year!
She Joined action news as a noon co-anchor and a general assignment reporter. A couple of years later she got promoted to 5 pm. Thats where she remained for many years. Lisa then added to role as a substitute for Jim Gardner at 6 and 11 pm.
Around the year 2003, Lisa began to experience Medical Problems. She tried to keep anchoring the news, but it was getting to hard to keep going to work. She took some time off, so Monica Malpass and Rick Williams took over, then she thought she could come back. She was experiencing a lot of problems, so it was officially announced that she would be leaving Action News. As Anchor Man Jim Gardner said, the door would always be open if Lisa wanted to return.
As it tuned out, Lisa had a rare condition and was getting wrong treatment the entire time. She then got the right treatment, and was feeling better.
The story was announced around Thanksgiving time 2005, and Lisa helped Co-Hosted the Annual 6abc Boscov's Thanksgiving Day Parade. She said she wanted to come back, but was not ready.
She came back around the same time the next year, Thanksgiving 2006. She announced that she was now able to come back.
Her return to broadcasting was on January 2, 2007 with a story on the Oprah Winfrey school in Africa. Since then Lisa has done many special reports, and she has filled in as a subsitute anchor on many occausions.
She hopes that one day she wil be able to anchor the news day-to-day.

been a year since the incident but im not satisfied.
i have Epilepsy,had it twenty years.
couple months before this incident,i had a seizure and fell two stories landing on my feet somehow.
new years 2008 i went to an ER due to extreme pain in my feet after braces came off.i signed into triage at a famous hospital ive been a patient at almost twenty years.sat down in the waitingroom,next thing i knew i was being dragged away by police!had some seizures in the ER and even with medicalert all over me,i was beaten,lost a tooth and sent to jail.
neurologists at this hospital who are a bit famous suich as Jacquline French-a neuro- told the ER it was a mistake i was having seizures,and everyone from neurology i hear called the police station telling them i can die without meds,they didnt care..my mother who knew where i was heading when i left called the hospital several times and the ER told her"we never heard of him" even though i was signed in.neurtologist called my family at night telling family where i was.
medication was refused by police,when i was brought in medicalert was ripped off my neck by an officer who said "NICE EXCUSE"then roughed me up and locked me up.they wanted my ankle bracelet off also,but i said they should cut my leg off cause theres a trick to getting it off your ankle,police never knew it so i kept it on!.
unsure what else my family went through totally with this,im told by lawyers that this isnt even gonna do nothin in small claims court.
withdrawl of meds can kill,,,,just as the travolta tragety recently.

charges against me such as aggravated assault against security and police were dropped but where were you???????
could have used you a couple times.
in Darby-i walked into an Aplus minimarket as a teen,had seizures and was put on parole due to my head going through the door accidentally while seizing.parole dropped most things cause they knew i was innocent.---another time,i had a bad migrain at my home in Darby,start walking towards a trolley to get to an ER and im beaten here.charges were dropped but who do i call for action

if your curious it was UPENN who did it.i have nothing against most doctors but issues with security and trust me i went to another hospital now for treatment while losing like #1 neuro in the usa.i just dont trust the place and want to do somethin about what happened to me.
lucky im alive with the withdrawl i went through.
ill leave it at that for now,theres more to it but am i wasting time or does a person in your field have issues also?
